Michael Power

Dr. Thomas Michael Power is Full Professor of Education & Technology at the Faculty of Education, Laval University, in Quebec City, Canada. He is an international Expert in Online Learning with the Agence universitaire francophone and l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie www.ifadem.org; a founding member of the international University of the Future Network unifuture.net; a researcher with The Centre for Research and Intervention on School Success www.crires.ulaval.ca/; a reviewer for numerous scientific journals; the author of A Designer’s Log published by Athabasca University Press and co-editor of a CJLT Special Issue on the work of Instructional Designers in dual-mode universities. Professor Power’s research interests focus on the design of online learning for dual-mode universities, the role of instructional designers, graduate studies design models and the use of technologically-enhanced text and voice to leverage faculty strengths, improve learner experience and enable and sustain university outreach.​
